Every breath is a doorway. Every sensation is a message. What if the body itself is the integration?
Psychedelics can open extraordinary windows of perception, memory, and healing. But the nervous system – shaped by years of protection, survival, and stored experience – determines whether those windows become transformation or overwhelm.
In this talk, Rachel Flower draws on 30+ years of somatic and breathwork training, her studies in Psychedelic Somatic Interactive Psychotherapy, Somatic Experiencing, and her own journey through Stage 4 cancer to offer a living, embodied framework for the psychedelic healing process.
We will explore:
-
Why somatic preparation is the most overlooked – and most essential – element of psychedelic work
-
How conscious breathwork can regulate the nervous system before, during, and after a journey
-
The role of sound as a vibrational container that speaks directly to the autonomic nervous system
-
What integration actually means in the body – and the simple somatic practices that allow transformation to take root
-
A practical overview of the Sohum Path: five stages from Arrive to Remember, applicable to both breathwork sessions and psychedelic integration
This is not a talk about psychedelics as substances. It is a talk about the living field in which healing happens – the body, the breath, the resonant field of sound — and how we, as guides and practitioners, become that field for others.
Whether you are a practitioner, a curious explorer, or someone in the process of integrating your own medicine experiences, this talk offers a body-first map for the journey home.
